RealTouch news completed a trifecta in the wake of its debut at the AEE in that it was featured on not one, not two — but three blogs in the Gawker Media family.

Gawker’s sex/porn blog, Fleshbot, called RealTouch the future of sex (toys), and hosts a video of its editor watching a demonstration of the device at the AEE booth. In the accompanying text, she tells us how she felt about the experience:

“If we were going to be all technical about it, we’d tell you AEBN’s Real Touch is a cyberdildonics device, one that responds to input from porn movies, mimicking the star’s actions to make it feel like you—yes, you!—are actually receiving that blowjob from Sasha Grey. We’d also tell you that it’s one of the most remarkable male sex toys we’ve ever seen—even without the porno interfacing. But the truth is, once we put our fingers inside it’s robo canal, and felt the ribbed lining massage our fingers (and the opening clamp around them from time to time), there was really only one thing we could possibly think: Holy shit, they’ve finally made a robopussy.”

Then, Gizmodo, its tech/gadget blog, also featured RealTouch in a blog post, discussing its origins from the mind of a former NASA engineer.

Finally, io9, the Gawker science fiction blog, had the most whimsical treatment of RealTouch, announcing that “at Last, Science Has Invented an Artificially Intelligent Robot Vagina.”

RealTouch has definitely been in the limelight over the last several days, and we couldn’t be more pleased to see all the positive response it’s gotten.

RealTouch was featured yesterday on the gadgets section of BoingBoing.net, the “directory of wonderful things.” The blog had this to say about our innovative new product:

I didn’t make it to the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo this year, which is a shame: I could have caught the introduction of “Real Touch”, a belt-driven machine that, when connected to your computer via USB, simulates the mouth, vagina, or anus of a real human, matching the on-screen action from supplied pornography with sympathetic motion. A heating element brings the entire mechanism close to 98.6, while a reservoir keeps the entire unit moist while in action. Clean-up, the traditional bugbear of sex toys, appears to be relatively easy by rinsing underneath running water and allowing the entire unit to air dry.

RealTouch got another star-studded mention in the press this weekend when it was highlighted in an article on the Las Vegas Weekly site. The piece entitled “Shopping AVN with porno pro Aurora Snow” followed porn star Aurora Snow around as she perused the show, not as talent, but as a patron. Of course, she encountered the RealTouch booth:

We strolled past the male-centric Real Touch booth, where small crowds were clustered around three demonstration tables, sticking two stiffened fingers inside the small cylindrical machine, which simulates the sensory feeling of sex based on the frame-by-frame action in real on-demand porn. (Hint, it’s not for your fingers.) Snow marveled at the technology for a moment, before contemplating what kind of person would end up purchasing and using the high tech love jar. With toys coming ever closer to mimicking the sensation of real live sex, Snow wondered, would some people choose to just cut out the mess and hassle of an actual relationship.

At the Real Touch booth two fingers took the place of a (hopefully) larger appendage to try out the cylindrical machine that mimics the physical sensation of sex according to the frame by frame action in an adult film. Guests gushed as it squeezed, stroked, gripped and even warmed their fingers with shocking realism.

One of captions says that “The Real Touch comes so close to simulating actual sex, it’s almost frightening” — we don’t think frightening is the right word, but we agree on everything else.

RealTouch is at the AEE show this weekend, and we’re already seeing some great press footage! A Danish television channel has a wonderful taped demonstration with our very own Liz Wright. Then, there is this write-up of RealTouch on TechFlash, which had this to say about the device:

At one booth, the Adult Entertainment Broadcast Network was showing its solution to two challenges faced by many tech companies — piracy and the widespread availability of free content. The company is coming out with a virtual sex device for men, RealTouch, that matches, frame by frame, what’s happening in a video through built-in vibration, motion, lubrication and heat.

RealTouch is just now making its big debut at the 2009 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, and this innovative device has already been featured in an article in the January issue of AVN Online entitled “Fantasy Bites.” It begins:
